Oct. 5th, 2010 02:34 amMust stop watching Major... Must stop reading Major... Gah, the more I watch, the more I want to read, and the more I read, the more I want to see this animated! Major has eaten my brain and the show is over! The manga is over! And yet, all I want to do is just roll around in it, ignoring everything else in my life...
I mean, I'm already behind on TV watching for like a week because I've been playing Rock Band 2 and the new Harvest Moon game like hard... And now with me going Major crazy, I'm becoming more and more behind... I'm even neglecting manga and fanfics right now...
But I will say one thing. Reading Major and actually seeing how the World Series plays out "eight years later" is a hell of a lot better than having some random scenes flash by and having us guess at what happened. Sure, there's a time jump in the manga too but it's so much more fleshed out seeing as they devote three whole volumes for it and not just a minute or two. Of course, I'm adoring the Toshiya-love. And I'm loving the symmetry and the feeling of a how things come in a full circle in this story... It's just really, really good. If they're not doing this for the OVA, Major fans who've only seen the anime will be missing out MAJORLY (pun was incidental).
Okay, going back to Major... I think I've squee'd enough about this series for at least a couple of days...no guarantees though. ><
edit x1: Oh dear...It just occurred to me as I was reading probably one of the high moments of the end of the Major manga that if they do end up doing this for the OVA, I'm going to be really spoiled for it...which is exactly the reason why I decided not to do the manga for Endless Abyss in the first place... Fail, absolute fail... OTL
...but I still want to see this part of the manga animated...spoiled or not...
Now, if I can only find a good place to stop reading... I keep saying one more chapter, one more chapter because it's like 6 AM and I need to sleep but it's so hard to put aside... I'm about 60 pages from the end of the volume and I just know if I read them all, it'll just end up being at a cliffhanger, one that I have to wait until December for the last volume to finish... And at the time, I'll have the OVA...
Maybe I should hunt down the magazine raws? If they exist somewhere? Hmm... :\
