Dec. 11th, 2010 09:47 pmCaught a mouse today... Damn, it's like we can never get rid of those damned things! They're getting in somehow and we always seem to catch a couple every couple of months or so. I suspect we just catch them all (or most of them) and then more end up showing up and we go through the cycle again.
This time, it was a tiny mouse, much smaller than any of the others we have caught. I threw it in the trash myself (after I screamed when I first discovered it -- must stop doing that. You would think I would be desensitized by now but nope, I scream every single time) and proceeded to lay more traps, just in case. I'm a bit worried since it was such a small mouse and I'm thinking it is a baby and there's a family of mice living somewhere in our house... How troublesome... Maybe I should go and pick up a couple more traps, just in case? I need to hit Wal-mart again anyway -- need more ribbon since apparently 9 ft is only enough to make a single bow. The only good thing about those $1 ribbon spools? The fact that they're wired which allows you to make poofy bows. Right now I have one bow all poofed up but no ribbon to tie it onto the present... :(
The last of my presents are due to arrive on Tuesday, not Monday as I had assumed but that's okay, it's not like I'm in any hurry. All that I do need to do is master the art of bow making -- it's not coming along very easily or well but I think it's passable. I probably just need more practice.
It's currently pretty cold here. It snowed earlier but the rain has made it all slush which is not fun to play in at all... I just wish if it were going to be cold, we at least get powdery snow to at least make it seem better. Or at least make me feel better about wanting to curl up in a big blanket and never come out...
edit x1: Second mouse was caught, hours after laying the trap. :\ It's a bit bigger than the first one (which makes me scared to touch the trap to get rid of it) but of the same coloring so I'm guessing it's the older sibling of the first one. Or maybe even a parent. Slowly, we're going to kill all of that mouse family...
I guess it's Walmart I go tomorrow for more traps. I knew I needed spares to have on hand...
