(no subject)

It's snowing! It's snowing! It's snowing a lot! Everything is so pretty! ^^

I am insanely happy about this. I know it'll all be gone before Christmas but I had been despairing over the fact that our Thanksgiving snow might have been our only sizable snowfall this year but it's not! Because it's snowing now and it looks like it isn't stopping any time soon!

But this does pose some problems...Namely, Kent's return home.

I've been stalking his progress all night -- his plane from Manchester was delayed in arriving to Zurich but thankfully, so was his plane from Zurich to San Francisco. He had over an hour to change planes so I'm guess he should be on the plane from Zurich to San Francisco right now... And here we were all mass panicking because of all the snow in England and the fact that Zurich was absolutely being dumped on with snow and ice...

But now it's our turn! Hopefully I-84 will be drivable because otherwise, I suspect Kent will be spending the night in Portland. Which he might anyway since I have doubts that our minivan can make it out if the roads are bad and if anything was going to make it, it would be Diana's Subaru...

...unfortunately, Diana is unable to drive her Subaru since she sprained her wrist while snowboarding on Thursday. o.O And while Kent could drive, driving another hour after spending 17 hours traveling with little sleep because he hates traveling and he can't sleep on planes or in airports (me, I got over that pretty quickly flying back and forth from the West to the East Coast -- I can sleep anywhere now) so he'll be sleep deprived as well. Who knows? He did say he'll take a Benadryl to knock himself out so maybe he will be well-rested? *shrugs*

I don't anticipate any trouble from the San Francisco to Portland leg of the trip, only the Gorge is getting snow and Portland is only getting nasty rain... But Kent lands at like 10 PM which means driving late at night on snowy, icy roads... Can anyone else see an accident waiting to happen?

Is it wrong how much I'm loving Monkey Majik right now? The first time I ever heard of them was when they did the theme song for the live action Saiyuki but they did both openings to Nurarihyon on Mago (I seriously like the manga better but it still is a good anime) and I have been waiting and waiting for them to be released... But it was always a long time away so I sorta forgot about it. In the end, it released three weeks ago and it only occurred to me to go and download them last night.

But now I'm enjoying them immensely. Sooo good. And if I concentrate hard enough, I can understand most of it! ^^

Anyway, I think of Sunshine being more their style but Fast Forward is really easy to listen to...it just sounds good to the ear. I don't know which I like more though... Both are really good songs though. And it's interesting to note, both vocalists for Monkey Majik are brothers and Canadians! Not to mention white! o.O It shocked me too. I want to be as fluent as they are in Japanese someday...
