Dec. 15th, 2010 01:40 amWrapping just the bows took me two hours. Seriously, how do industrious mamas out there who strive for the perfect Christmas do something like this? And I only had to wrap a handful of presents with nice bows... :\
And what did I discover? Curling ribbon makes for some ugly bow. I ended up hating how messy it looked and took the scraps of the ribbons I had and made a two layer, simple bow to go on top and now it finally looks a bit better. But I suspect there's too much curling ribbon because it's kinda foaming all around the bow. Hopefully people won't hate it...
But overall, think I like it. They're all nicely wrapped and ready for gifting! Yay!
I did end up mangling the gold ribbon so I don't think it can be reused... And with the way it mangled and broke (thankfully hidden away with lots of other ribbon), I suspect none of these ribbons will be reusable very much... And getting them undone will be a bitch, I can already see that. Sorry everyone! But they're very pretty so I hope you forgive me!
But it's done and I can scratch three things off my list of six things to do off. All that's left is cleaning, vacuuming, and translating Eroica. Joy. I'm working on Eroica now and thankfully, the part where it was killing my soul has past and I'm only mildly annoyed by it. Cleaning and vacuuming will be done probably tomorrow but I might spread it out to two days. Maybe. I'm lazy so I have no idea...
Now, I'm off to a bit of fun -- tonight's episode of The Good Wife! Yay! Hopefully it'll keep my mind off the cheese in the fridge right now -- I'm full but I'm still craving it... How does that end up happening? I still feel bloated so maybe I should lay off the dairy products tonight...
