Mar. 29th, 2012 03:02 amOh my god, coarse ground mustard is delicious. I doubt I'll ever go back. I had a taste of it before I spread it on the bread (on top of mayo because I adore mayo -- and to think I used to hate mayo) and it was good but in the sandwich? Oh my god, so, so, soooo good.
And I was right -- this ham sandwich is amazing. I used both the pepperjack and provolone cheese and placed lettuce on both sides of the bread so it's double layered with lettuce. It's delicious but I think two types of cheeses kinda muddled the flavor a bit so next time I'm going to stick with just one and it gets way too unwieldy with that much lettuce. And I ended up placing some very thinly sliced onion on it too to give it a kick which is really nice. I didn't use too much honey ham since I'm not the biggest fan of ham (it was either that or turkey and I really am ambivalent of turkey) and it turned out quite nicely.
Okay, I'm back to my delicious sandwich. And to think I would ever put ketchup on it -- it would totally ruin the flavor and all I would have tasted would have been ketchup.
