I don't know why this is bothering me. Really, it's such a small thing that I shouldn't be bothered at all and yet, I can't help but be annoyed when it happens.

My roommate likes to hum. And sing out of tune. And tap her shoes on the floor (plastic on hardwood too!). It drives me insane, particularly when I'm studying in bed with no way of not hearing it. Seriously, I wonder if she does it on purpose to annoy me but that makes no sense at all since she really wouldn't do something like that. Still, even though I know it's not conscious, the very act of it makes me want to go and tap my fingers on the nearest wall, consistently and firmly just to make her realize how freaking annoying something like that is (since she does tapping most of all and it's the most insistent sound that I have ever heard in my life).

Gah, at least on my laptop at my desk I can put on my headphones and block the sound from my mind. The problem is that I lack such a defense on my bed. I'm stuck eyeing her figure and staring at her, hoping she'll get a clue because I'm too much of a coward to go out and say "do you mind?" or something else along those lines. :(

*eyes headphones* I wonder if they'll stretch to my bed... Hmm....

Yeah, that can get really annoying. And the sad thing is that this is a nervous habit, something they do subconsciously, and no amount of your requests to stop is going to help because they really can't control it. I know 'cause my colleague has a habit of popping her joints *winces* You can imagine how disturbing it is, hearing the ominous cracking next to me and wondering if she just broke her fingers or is simply stretching.

You're still up? It's it like 2 AM over there?

Somehow, I think popping joints is a more scary sound... I didn't know there was a bright side to this but clearly, tapping is a better alternative to popping joints.

*glances at the clock warily* Yep. 2.26, to be exact. Will probably get off, feed the cats and go to sleep now.

And lol, glad I could comfort you somewhat. Popping joints really is an awful habit. It's like a never-ending horror movie happening right by my side.

Read down from there. It's a small PoT pairing war. A comic one, presented in the form of ficlets. Gave me a good laugh.

Oh my God, that's hilarious! I don't even like either of the two pairings, but there's something about undead!Fuji and Tezuka fighting over a Ryoma that's strangely appealing. *laughs*

I can't even pop any of my joints... I think I would be too scared to pop something out of place should I try.

"Sing out of tune." Hahaha! ke...ke..ke.

She did it while I was staying over there. But I didn't find it too annoying. *shrugs*

Oh my god, it was so bad today. She was trying to hum/sing or something like that and it sounded like she was dying. I was so tempted to ask her if she's okay or if she's trying to recreate a death scene or something like that... *shudders*
