Apparently the entire city smelt of maple syrup yesterday night and I missed it!!! :(

I feel so very left out. I was basically holed up in my dorm room the entire night and apparently it started around 9 PM... :\

Something this cool and I missed it!!!

How often does all of NYC smell like maple syrup?! I want to be one of those people who thought they were crazy for smelling maple syrup all around them while walking around last night.

I know some people have said that they smelled it in their apartments but I was not one of those people. And apparently in Lower Manhattan, it started around 8 PM and then faded but came back even stronger than ever around 1 AM. I missed this entirely. :( And I live in Lower Manhattan! I can walk down to freaking Battery Park in like fifteen minutes. Probably ten. :(

I want to smell maple syrup too... T_T

But anyway... Diana-chan!

Download this song, ne? Mystery Song

Now tell me who sang it, where it's from and they the hell it's so familiar. I found it on my TVB song CD that I burned way back when but it's obviously NOT a TVB song since it's in Mandarin. But it's a very good song and it sounds like the theme song to something so I feel like you'll know. So please, tell me what it is?

Thanks!

Now I'm off to sleep. Ja!

edit x2: I lied again.

Mystery Song 2

Diana, do the same with this song! Identify it for me, onegai shimasu!

The first is in Mandarin and the second is in Cantonese so yeah, they're in Chinese. I just wish I knew where they were from because they sound like theme songs to something but I have no idea what. I should know since I burned them on a CD but it was a long time ago and I can't remember them at all... :(

The first one is apparently "一輩子一場夢" sung by 張衛健 (Dicky Cheung) and is the theme song to the Taiwanese version of the show "Duke of Mount Deer." I think the title means "a lifetime of dreams" or something along those lines.

The second is one of the subthemes to the TVB show "A Step into the Past" called "天命最高" sung by Louis Koo. I would guess this means "the highest destiny"... Diana says it might be "highest point of life" so I'm not totally sure...

Subthemes are usually end themes that vary -- it's not like anime where they totally switch to a new end theme but rather, a certain end theme might show up whenever the ending of the episode calls for it (like a happy end theme or a sad end theme to match a happy or sad ending of an episode).

Hope that helps! Thanks goes to Diana-chan for ferreting out the titles and artist names. :)
