I dreamed I was Koyuki from BECK and that the entire BECK group was performing at my school in Silver for a Christian choir group...

...it was very very weird... And considering the fact that I'm not actually Koyuki and don't really know any of their songs aside from Face and a bit of I've Got a Feeling, I was really freaked out about it...

But thankfully I didn't show my lack of knowledge because we only did Face and a couple of songs that didn't include me before time ran out. And then I had to rush from the concert to the seventh floor for Orgo lecture -- yeah, really weird.

I don't know why but as I was trying to get to the lecture, I got lost in the complex that is Silver, Waverly and Brown. I mean once you figure out how the three buildings interconnect, they're really not that bad... But show how I think I was in some part of Brown (since it has most of the science labs) and I had get directions to get back to Silver some how...

And when I got to the room, it wasn't 703 as it normally was but some odd building with really huge windows and for some reason, Mt. Adams in the summer (with a lot of the snow melted) was right behind us. It was really freaky because it seemed like we were literally right in front of the mountain.

And then they started talking about dropping quiz grades or curving them down or something like that and I basically woke up from that....

Today, in about ten minutes, I will be going over to Kevin's house to tutor him. Thankfully, it'll only be for an hour... Hopefully. I don't want to stay too long there because his family's going to be there and I'm going to be really awkward. And especially since the subject material is acid, bases and salts, I'm not feeling all too confident about it either. Aside from figuring out pH, I'm not sure I remember much from that... I really wish I had my notes... Wait, I might...But I really don't think so... I think made Diana take them home...

Ah whatever, I've got to get read and go.. I'm taking the bus this time for the first time so hopefully it'll be quicker than the subway...

God, I grew up listening to Jacky's songs. It's really confusing, since over here you guys all call them by their English names or nicknames or whatever, and I know a couple of them by their Chinese names solely.

I rarely listen to cantonese songs...I don't like the way it sounds hehe...^^;;;

LOL! Me too actually! I grew up with all the Four Heavenly Kings (I was a diehard Leon fan)... :)

We all know them by their English names or their Cantonese names... I mean they're mainly Cantonese people (except for Leon but his Cantonese doesn't suffer for it) so...

I don't listen to much Cantonese songs either... I have a very small collection... I like not being able to understand Mandarin songs more, I think.

Ever heard of the Little Tigers? One of them became an actor and a single singer I believe. I know him as Wu Qi Long, but he acted in a very famous Cdrama set in the imperial court. I know it as Huan Zhu Ge Ge...but that wouldn't mean much to you would it? ^^;;;

No idea what you're talking about at all. In HK, there are actually a new generation of the Heavenly Kings consisting of Leo Ku, Hacken Lee, Andy Hui and Edmond Leung... Have you heard of any of them? Hacken Lee is like wickedly popular right now but I'm not all too fond of his voice...

Ah, the Little Tigers were OLD. They broke apart when I was 8 or 9. But it turned out I was wrong about the actor anyway, haha.

Here's the series: My Fair Princess

It's said to be one of the best Taiwanese dramas ever, spanning three series. I seriously recommend them if you've never watched it.

Like I said, I'll only know them if you give me their Chinese names...^^;;; I'm so out of it though, that I doubt I know any of them. I've only recently got into them because for several years I had been disenchanted with Cpop music. I've only started getting back into them again thanks to Stacy's perserverence. Haha.

Leo Ku: 古巨基
Hacken Lee: 李克勤
Andy Hui: 許志安
Edmong Leung: 梁漢文

Is that series...Taiwanese? Mainland? I shy away from Mainland...Though I shy away from Taiwanese as well but not so much as Mainland...I mainly do TVB if only for the TVB guarantee of almost always having a happy ending...

Taiwanese. Based off a serious of books written by a Taiwanese.

It's very, very good. It's so famous, I'm surprised you've never heard of it.

I've watched the first two...I wouldn't recommend the third since they changed all the actors and seriously pissed me off with that.

Oh, that's because I don't follow Chinese TV shows in general. I can't understand Mandarin and don't have my sister's or my cousin's fascination with the language so I've never been into the "try to watch Mandrain shows without subtitles" thing. But even with subtitles, I'm not a big fan of Chinese TV dramas at all, aside from TVB but TVB is something in itself. I don't think they've really been serious so you can enjoy them just on that basis which is nice when you want something mindless. :)

This one's good, I assure you. It's touching, sad, funny, happy, I adore it.

It's one of my favorite dramas of all time. There's one other one I grew up watching called Xiao Tsao, but that's really old and I'd be surprised if anyone I know actually watched it.

Aaah...nostalgia. I grew up watching so many dramas, but not the ones where the setting is in modern day. I prefer the old settings in the Imperial palace, around Sung, or Tang dynasty. The clothes are prettier. XD

Is it subbed by anyone? Or dubbed (though I would rather not watch something dubbed just on principle)?

Oh, I adore dramas set in modern day! For me, I'm in reverse because I dislike the ones set in ancient times... Anything that's not present, I'm usually turned off of... I'm not a big fan of costumes and the way they speak is hard for me...as it is, I'm not that great with Cantonese but to make them speak in the way they used to with all those words that they don't use now...it's so over my head. Plus, I've always been one for technology. Outside of Chinese shows, I adore anything that's set in the future or at the very least in the present. I'm not big about the past thing...unless it's time travel because then you have a modern day element in the past and it becomes much more interesting.

Machines bore me. Whenever I watch the History channel it's always about the Romans, or the Colonial period, or Queen Elizabeth. Once it reaches WWII my interest wanes.

I really prefer fantasy stories set in the past because it just feels better for me. I'm not sure why...I think I'm partially frightened of big, neverending space.

Hmmm...I don't know any subbers, because I've never had to worry about Cdramas in that aspect, and I can read the Chinese subtitles. Sorry. It's so old (1997) that I doubt they'd still be out. Meh.

Yeah, me and Chinese subtitles don't go very well... I could probably recognize two characters in a sentence but I doubt that will help me very much.

I adore modern times! The possibilities for the future is endless and I love speculating as to what lies ahead for us. But I do love history too... I just don't like like Chinese history very much. Well, Eastern history altogether. I'm more of a European history (and American! I adore American history!) buff.
