A month ago I wrote about a contest over at Julia Quinn's website about the ARC for On the way to the Wedding that I had entered and what do I find in my mailbox today?

Obviously from the subject, THE ARC TO ON THE WAY TO THE WEDDING!!!

They hadn't even announced the winners yet on the website or had given us any advance warning about who won (like an email informing us) so I had no idea I was one of the lucky winners!

I am so incredibly happy right now! I mean oh my god, an ARC! And signed by the author!!! ^^ I've entered so many of her contests over the years and have never won anything at all so I wasn't sure if I would win. Plus, I couldn't remember if it was really It's in His Kiss and Romancing Mister Bridgerton that were totally set in London... But it was because I won! Go me!

Now, I have Gregory's story for free! The last of the Bridgertons -- *sigh* I love this series, have loved it and followed it for years so I'm so incredibly happy right now. Plus, I won something so also something to celebrate! XD

And I had a wonderful dream about Kimeru today... He was performing at some police appreciation event at the Seaport and was also selling some of his old stuff as part of charity and I totally glomped on him (in the dream of course). He didn't seem to have any recollection of my past birthday gifts but that's okay because unlike the last dream I had about him where he only touched my hand, he actually hugged me in this one. And he gave me his hat. ^^ So yeah, when I woke up, I was absolutely crushed. *sigh* Too much Kimeru in my life for the last few days if I'm dreaming about him. Still, it was very cool and I wish I could have enjoyed it longer.

I just came back from the AI transition meeting. I tried my best to tell my successor everything she needed to know and tried to stress the fact that she needs people to show up because otherwise, it'll be very bad. And I'll be there most days for at least one of the shifts so she'll at least have me hanging around. I did mess up on the address of the church so I'll have to tell her this Friday at the member appreciation dinner that it's really on 7th Ave and 13th St and not on 5th Ave and 13th St.

Now... I have to make dinner. And do laundry. And wash my hair. And study the animo acid chapter for the quiz. And Japanese for the final on Thursday. And study for the midterm in Orgo. Joy. And remember to IM Kevin about telling Jenny to get me my CDs back...

Ah, so much to do and not enough time... I'm so psyched about my ARC... I want to read it right now! But I need to study... Ah, what to do, what to do... :\

Not sure what you won, but it's always cool to win something. Anything.

CONGRATS!

It's an advance release copy of Julia Quinn's latest book. It's actually the last in the series and I've been following it since middle school so I'm very happy.

Oh that does sound good!

Keep us updated. And what does Julia Quinn write about? I might need to look her up.

She does romance, specifically ones that are set in Victorian England. She's probably the only romance author I follow with any regularity -- she's such a guilty pleasure for me.
