Stupid clouds

Clouds have moved above us so it's trapping the heat for what the TV news weather reports call the possibly "Warmest July Evening Ever." Dun dun dun.
It's cooled down considerably tonight though. Weather.com says we went up to 107 but my dad went out with a thermometer and he caught it around 111. Yeah, it's hot, very, very hot. But it's supposed to be only low 100s tomorrow which will be nice.
I spent the whole day indoors, patching up my PoT music collection and checking on what I have and what I don't and just hanging out at home with the A/C on. All I have to say is thank god for A/C. My brother got his license yesterday so today he exercised his new privilege and drove here from the old place to the new house to escape our mother (which always gives a good reason to leave) and the heat. What he didn't count on was the fact that the car had been outside all day and had slowly but surely heating up to a nice scorcher by 3 PM. And yet he drove it anyway.
They said on the news that cars are typically 30 degrees higher than the outside temperatures (don't leave kids or pets inside as some stupid mother did in Vancouver!). From what Kent said, everything burned him, including the driving wheel so he avoided contact with it as much as possible and mostly touched it to turn and even then he had to let go of it after a while. Which is just brilliant of my brother, isn't it? The day after he got his license, he could have gotten himself killed. Nice.
Thankfully he made it over here without killing himself and he hung around for a couple of hours. We ate... I watched him lose at online poker and we watched Digimon Savers. And we played Simpsons Clue and the Real Game of Life (the game where you can become an unwed mother and dying having your baby -- not to mention also addicted to heroin). It was nice. Well, I got eaten in a Donner Party like incident. :( I hate dying like that! Especially since that was the second time I had landed on that square and the first time I survived by eating the other people in my group. It was like divine retribution -- you become a cannibal and you're doomed to be food for other people. T_T
But it was cool. And that's the most important part. Tomorrow I suspect will be much like the same. It won't be as hot but it will still be pretty up there (ugh, hate hate hate hot weather). I just hope it cools down at night at the very least. It's okay outside now but it's totally dead out there -- no wind at all so there really isn't much air circulation or movement into the house. Which leaves me feeling hot. I predict that it's not gonna be a good sleep tonight... *makes a face*
