I finally got to watching Clips-K today and it was pretty good. I didn't really like Be Shiny or The Pleasure of Love PV surprisingly, especially with The Pleasure of Love PV since I loved that song. The whole red satin thing kinda weirded me out and I kept wondering if he was on a bed or not... Kimeru wasn't sinking in anyway so I assume not but hopefully he had some sort of padding because it was that concrete floor, I would really feel sorry for him.

But watching those two PVs, I was again struck by what wonderful places they find to film him in. Kimeru is always in wonderful locations for his PVs and photo shoots that have so much character. When he was on the rooftop in The Pleasure of Love, gah, loved it!

I did notice one thing though. Kimeru moves A LOT. I knew this before and yet it really didn't bother me before. But it's like he moves in the same way in every time. Perhaps that's why I adored the LOVE BITES PV so much. KImeru is sitting down! Plus he's dressed rather snazzy so you have to love that as well. ^^ I thought it was wonderful to see a slightly less active Kimeru in a PV with slower motions. After two PVs where he's moving a good deal, it was a wonderful change. And I really do have a thing for the Kimeru in a chair. *laughs* I just think he looks really wonderful in a chair.

I have to wonder about the girl in the PV though... I thought she was a mannequin or some sort of painting in the beginning. It's hard for me to believe that such a visually dramatic person exists but it was pretty cool how they incorporated her into the PV.

The last PV on the DVD was probably my second favorite. I really LOVED the inclusion of the band in the PV. Before, it's always been just Kimeru (aside from that bit in Overlap) but in Koi no Performance, members of the band are there. I'm not quite sure they're really Kimeru's band members (I tried placing the faces, but I'm really bad at faces...). The song as always was wonderful since I've always loved Kimeru's Koi no Performance in the first place. Plus, I love the lighting work they did on it. I have a thing for good lighting and it made for a nice contrast in the large, empty hanger.

But what I'm really getting excited about? STYLE! the live performance of it was really great! I know I've been going about PVs this and PVs that, and I want more PVs whenever Kimeru came out with a new DVD, but I really did love STYLE. It sounds like a good song and I got to see Kimeru's sweet, innocent smile. What can I say? I melted. ^^

It was a good song. Is the single coming out in October STYLE? I feel like I should know this but for some reason, I'm blanking on it. I feel like it's not, which depresses me a bit. I really do like the sound of it. From what I hear of the song, it's not completely subdued and it's not completely upbeat... It's what I would call Kimeru's version of a more low-key soft song. And I've always gone wibbly over those of those songs. Ah, well, I can always rip the song off of the DVD and listen to that over and over again, right? Yay for bright ideas. ^^

This has really made me feel better though. I was really feel listless still from last night but this has pushed me out of my slump for now. I had a good long cry last night where I despaired over nothing and everything and I went to sleep on my thoughts from the night. I woke up feeling pretty bad still and I muddled my way through the DVD and it didn't cheer me up as much as I had hoped.

But now, talking about the DVD a bit, thinking about points that I liked, it reminded me of why I like Kimeru as well. And that has centered me a bit and I feel better than I have in the past 24 hours.

Oh, before I forget! Some uploads. I couldn't resist the chance to rip Kimeru's DVD as I do with all of this past DVDs and I've uploaded the ones I've liked. They're not really massive files, something I was happy about. It still amazes me to that I know how to rip DVDs. I remember it being a complete mystery when I first tried it out and then I found Auto Gordian Knot and everything mysterious just seemed to melt away to become this simple, efficient process. God, I love it when things go the way I plan. :)

Anyway, the downloads:

Kimeru - LOVE BITES PV
Kimeru - Koi no Performance PV

+ No, the band in Koi was not Kime's tour band. There is no Dandy. :(
+ The single isn't STYLE. It's called "TIMELESS". I don't think Style will be on it :x it came out as a special release at KLSD. Normally Yoshi produces Kime's songs, but Style was done by Yoshinori Sugimoto, which is why the "style" is different.

See, I thought that the band wasn't Kimeru's band... I knew kinda what they looked liked from the DVDs of his lives and they were rather distinct... But I could never really get a good shot look at the band in Koi (perhaps since they aren't Kimeru's band, they're just background people?) to really place any of them...

Oh, I kinda figured it wasn't Style... :( But opefully it come out in some form or another to the public so I can go crazy over it. That will be one single I would definitely look forward to. Or album. I'll be up for it being on Kimeru's next album. ^^

And Yoshinori Suigmoto? I don't think I remember him doing any of Kimeru's past songs...

He hasn't.
*insert long babbling*
Yoshinori used to be in a JRock band called Waive, and he's also good friends with TAKUMA, who used to be in a band called wyse, who had a few CDs produced by Dandy (Ken), who of course is Kimeru's bassist. Basically somehow (not sure exactly the reason), but for the song Style Yoshinori was brought in to produce it.

He also played guitar for Kimeru at KLSD (the last Kime-Land on July 22nd)

Paradox.

I really like the way Kimeru isn't so easy to find on the internet, it compels you to buy his singles, CD's, and DVD's, to like the music before seeing the images. I like the way his overseas fanbase keeps what they have on him on the down-low. They respect him, which is majorly important.

Also, I really like seeing anything of Kimeru's that I can, whether it be PV's, photo shoots, or things I see on ebay/amazon/cdjapan/etc. It makes me smile.

What is the paradox?

And one of the reasons why I started buying Kimeru's stuff is because his stuff wasn't easy to find on the internet. Besides, if I like Kimeru so much, it made sense for me to shell out money to support him. And once I started buying his stuff, the collector side of me just compelled me to continue on and get everything else out there.

With sharing Kimeru's stuff, well, I never f-lock my media posts. But I don't advertise them either. I'm of the belief that if someone who loves Kimeru stumbles onto my LJ and finds my media posts, and then they download from them, then that's okay with me. I used to be one of those people so I understand where people like that are coming from.

Sorry, I'm not very concise or descript. The paradox is that although I really respect his wishes and his adore the fans' obedience to keep things about him off the internet, I really love collecting every little thing I can of his (on and off the internet). It markets well too: I bought Love Bites and Glorious, and even a magazine that he was in, just for the sake of having a hard image of him.

Unrelated: I love the overseas fans of him, they're always so helpful and cooperative, too. The same for the Tackey & Tsubasa base (although they tend to fangirl a lot more). But fans of like... Gackt, Koda Kumi, T.M.Revolution... tend to not be so communal and more... I dunno, greedy? I don't want to say that, especially because I *love* TMR, and now, a bunch of the Johnny's.

I hate that collector instinct. It makes me lose so much money!!! But I'm happy that I worked hard to build up the collection of artists, media, and clippings of the people I see as role models. (Not to mention that now I have dreams where random Johnny's come and help me solve problems as simple as baking bread and as complex as relationships. WEIRD. (I'm a loser))

Also, endless shock made me squeal. A lot. In fact, I think I'm going to devote an entire post to it, describing my reactions and the plot. :D

You have a magazine that Kimeru was in?! Okay, I'm majorly jealous here! Magazines have always been in my "too expensive to justify" catagory so I could never take the plunge myself... :( But I do have a pretty extensive collection of scans of practically everything under the sun with Kime.

I've never actually been in any of the fanbases of any musical artists before Kimeru... And I don't really think I've joined any since either... Perhaps Arashi, but I think of myself as a rather disinterested, uninvolved sort of fan...

Last night I had out all my Kimeru related DVDs and Kimeru CDs and it just hurt thinking about how much money I've spent on them all... And his next single with three different versions, two of which I simply MUST HAVE is going to kill me.

I'm so glad endless shock played okay... It kinda went wonky on me as I was burning the DVD but it played fine on my laptop as well as my sister's so I figured it would be okay.
