I went and bought some really beautiful Red Delicious apples today. That and some ruby grapefruit (grapefruit!!!) and some more pears. Today was fruit day for me. That and Jello. I also got Jello too. ^^
I thought I would need something nutritious after I made a spinach artichoke cheese dip for dinner. Yeah, that was really bad -- three different types of cheese, alfredo sauce, cream cheese -- I think I just might have eaten a heart attack. But it was good. Although next time I made this dip, I'm going to use better quality alfredo sauce, unmarinaded artichoke hearts and way less garlic. And possibly with paprika because it seemed a little...lacking in kick.
Anyway, I had a nice apple and it was really yummy. I don't usually like apples but I do have a thing for Red Delicious ones. And they were from Washington, my neck of the woods! The skin on it as crazy though -- I'm one of those weird people who can't eat skins of things -- apples, pears, peaches, cucumbers... They all must be peeled before I can eat them. I'm just weird like that. The skin on my apple was so glossy that my peeler just didn't want to go through it. And it was pretty thick as well. That's genetic enhancement for you.
I'm so happy that I have fruit now. Tomorrow, I shall have half of a grapefruit. I can't even remember the last time I ate grapefruit. It shall be such a treat and it's crazy how much I'm looking forward to it. This whole fruit thing with me is like unbelievable. I don't even eat fruit. Maybe that's why I'm so into it now -- it's something I rarely have so now I'm sorta craving it all.
I think I'm going to go and have another Jello cup. I'm seriously adoring the Jello too. I have some Jello packs so I think I'm going to make some Jello tomorrow or sometime soon as well...
