Cooking nightmare and other stuff

I had a cooking nightmare. I can't say I've ever said that before... In the dream I was actually in a cooking competition like Iron Chef or Top Chef where you're given a mystery ingredient and then you have to make a dish that highlights it. I was given okra. I've never eaten okra. I don't even know how you eat it or how it's cooked. The only time I've ever even seen okra was in the supermarket.
So I basically took all my time trying to figure out what I was going to do with it and preparing it to be cooked... Because when I cut into it, the insides were all mushy (which I really doubt okra is in real life but seeing as I've never seen the inside of an okra in real life, my mind thought it would be mushy), I was going to mix it up with a batter and make cakes that I can pan fry but by the time I was finished cutting, I only had two minutes to cook and I was pretty much screwed. I felt so frustrated and annoyed and so unhappy and it didn't help that all the other contestants were finished with their dishes and were all standing near my work station staring at me... I woke up wanting to scream at them all...
It was a weird little dream...
Anyway, I'm studying Genetics. I finally got complementation! I was looking at it all wrong -- instead of focusing on the genes that did complement, I should have focused on those that didn't which helps a lot more. Now I'm trying to get epistasis which is a bit tricky... Just a little. I just have to remember that a 9:4:3 implies epistasis because the 4 is usually including the double mutant.
Okay, one more thing to study before I'm off to study kanji (I hate it how my kanji quizzes always seem to land on my Genetics midterm). I just need to get penetrance and expressivity. I'm going to assume that the chi-square stuff isn't going to be on it...Hopefully at least... :\ I don't need that right now at all.
