Chinese sausages shouldn't be microwaved. However, when they are boiled nice and long, they're very yummy. They are however, not suitable dinner items when they are the only things you're eating for dinner.

You see... I woke up late tonight because I went to sleep around 7:30 AM (my sister woke me up around 8:30 AM and we talked a bit before I went back to sleep) and got up around 3:30 PMish. And it's now 9:30 PM and I have no idea what I did the last couple of hours. I vaguely remember transferring a ton of files onto the brand spanking new hard drive (so very cool! I'm still marveling over it) and I went and downloaded the Bend it Like Beckham OST because I heard Melanie C's Independence Day and I knew I had to have it. The movie was showing on IFC and I watched like half an hour of it in between things.

Anyway, when I woke up today, the drive was all nicely formatted into NTFS which I needed it to be. Apparently, it was recommended if you're using XP and I am so I reformatted it. It was a bit freaky -- deleting and making new partitions... I'm not usually so intimate or hands on with my hardware... :\

Anyway, that went without a hitch and I spent a couple hours moving my stuff onto it. Apparently, transferring 40 GB worth of files take a long time...

When I woke up today, I was starving which made sense since I hadn't eaten for almost 24 hours at that point so I went and made some lunch/mid afternoon meal thing. That screwed me up for dinner since that was like at 4:30 and I only became hungry now. But I really didn't want anything filling -- I wasn't in the mood for sweets but rather I wanted something salty. I went and looked in my fridge and saw the package of Chinese sausages. Since I wanted them quickly, I popped on in the microwave. Big mistake. I was so afraid that it was going to blow up... And it was really touch. So I went and boiled the other one and that one was good -- nice, juicy, full of fat. I think it needed some more time though -- I wanted to recreate that taste that Chinese sausages get when you put them in zhongzi... You know when they're so damned soft, so juicy, so sweet that it's incredible and you want to save that bit of sausage for your last bite? I was getting there but I needed more time I think.

So now I'm kinda bored. I feel like I should study -- I should get through chapters 11-13 this weekend for Physics since my midterm is next Friday but I've fucked around for so long doing nothing that Numb3rs is in 20 minutes and I don't want to start studying now because I'll have to stop for Numb3rs. So I think I'll read a fanfic or two, watch Numb3rs and hopefully I'll be able to pull myself away from the computer to do some constructive work this weekend.
