And I just watched it!!!
Last year, when season two was just starting off, I was so incredibly hyped and ready for it. I was downloading raws the moment they were out and I was on the website every week to get a hint at what was to come. I was obsessed with the show. I mean I had finished watching the first season that spring and it was right after that in the fall that season two came on and it was like jumping right back into a great series that I had never left and had never ended. It was just so easy and I was just so pumped.
This year, I didn't even know there was going to be a season three, much less that it was starting around this time. But then I saw the 53rd episode on Animesuki today and since I do love the show, I just had to get it. And I just watched it!
It's like amazing! I mean oh my god, it's like it's starting all over again. The excitement, the anticipation, the feeling that I'm watching something great, it's all coming back!!!
Admittedly, I wasn't too fond of how the last season ended. I mean I like people who are good at what they do. And I like to them to be the best. I had an issue with Goro leaving Kaido, the strongest school out there when it came to baseball.
But I'm over that now. Now that I've seen what Goro has to deal with next -- I can't wait to see him triumph over his problems. I mean a school that only has seven other guys? *winces* I want to see him pull that off.
I so can't wait for the next episode! Hopefully MJN will go as quickly as they were going at the beginning of season two and we'll have another in a week or so. *crosses fingers*
I am liking the new ending theme though. It's a departure from Road of Major doing practically all their songs but I think the opening theme is still done by them so it's all good. I'm still trying to get the opening theme but I have a feeling it'll show up somewhere soon.
Okay, last thoughts about episode one. I'm so happy that he's not going to Mifune where his buddies have gone on with him. He's totally right -- it's not fair at all for to have to accept him, not when they've carved their own futures out with their own power.
And I love the little moment at the end with Shimizu! And that guy? Yuki something or another? He's so gonna be an integral part of this, I can already see it. *sigh* I really am getting excited about this anime. It's wonderful. I had almost forgotten what it mean to be really into an anime... I mean it's not like I watch that much of it nowadays... But this, this is something I'm definitely going to be following closely...
Oh, as a totally unrelated sidenote? I watched Heroes right before diving into the Major episode and oh my god, Hiro's father?! What the hell? I am really hating how many questions pop up with so few of the old ones answered... But next week, I am so there! This is exactly how Heroes works -- it sucks you in and never lets you go. It just kills you with all these unanswered questions.
