How surprising!

I've just watched the first two episodes of Survivor and I'm surprised, I really am. For once, it seems like neither team is weaker than the other. The last two seasons it's been like one team gets absolutely hammered for the entire season and I got to tell you, that's depressing. You start feeling sorry for them and then you start rooting for them and in the end, you hope what happened with Yul and his tiny tribe would happen again.
But surprisingly, I don't hate either tribe and so far, each has won a challenge. It remains to be seen if it'll remain so even but I actually have people on both tribes that I really like. So far, favorites include both Brandon and Taj (hope their secret alliance will keep up!). And also surprising is that the duo of Southern Alabama boy James and NYC City boy Stephen. Who I don't like is Coach (so negative and so weak... Why didn't he go home instead of Candace?!) and his little bird on his shoulder, Debra and Sandy. Sandy because she's really kinda bitchy. I mean maybe she has a right to it but I don't like her negativity at all... And she chose not to work on camp like Sierra did. That to me was smart, which is why I also adore Sierra.
So far, who do I like best? Definitely Taj. She might not need the money but the foundation it'll go to definitely is a good cause. And I really like the fact that even though she doesn't need to do any of this, she's doing it for a good cause and more importantly, she's doing it for herself. That sort of can-do attitude is something that resonates with me and I seriously hope she wins this thing.
Okay, off to watch The Amazing Race. I'm just knocking off all those reality TV shows today.
