Oi, taxes once again

Oh my god, it slowly drove me insane.
Problem number 1: Residency. Do I file a 40S, 40N or a 40P for my state taxes?
I might be a resident of Oregon. Or I might not be a resident of Oregon. Or I was a part-time resident of Oregon. That's a bit whacked but I had two jobs, one an Oregon one and one in NY. Plus, I lived in NY for five months so I think that makes me a part-year resident of Oregon. In the end, I figure that's the best option but I ended up doing the forms for all three types of residency status just in case.
Problem number 2: Can I take an education credit or a tuition deduction if NYU didn't send me a 1098-T because they billed me in 2007?
After one very long wait from being on hold with the IRS, I found out that yes, I can take a Lifetime Learning Credit! Hurrah! You don't know how happy that made me. Thank god the tuition for Spring 2008 was actually paid in 2008! Taking that credit actually drops me from having to pay any tax at all! ^^ At least on the federal level. I get all of it refunded back! Yay!
(Although, I will admit, I feel bad about not paying any federal income tax... I'm not paying my portion and it just shifts the burden to the rich people. On the other hand, rich people can take the burden and I'm still poor and in lots of debt from school so I really can't feel all that bad.)
As for state taxes, since I took the Lifetime Learning Credit, I was also able to subtract my tuition expenses from my Oregon state taxes. This ended up bring me from having to pay more in taxes to getting a bit of it back. Hey, I'll take it... Monies is definitely a good thing, no matter how little. And now, after spending the last four hours on these things, I'm so glad to finally feel like I have something that seems right and correct.
Now, if only I had my W-2's... :\ I made the mistake not to bring them with me and now that I'm on the edge of finishing my taxes...I can't. *sigh* Tomorrow! It'll get finished and I'll send them out and in a few weeks, monies! Oh, life is looking up. ^^
Edit x1: Aw, hell. I forgot about my scholarships. Damn it. Well, there goes part of my refunds... :\
