Haha, Mallon came by the house today looking for Diana since she hadn't turned in her ballot yet. It was so shocking because we don't usually get many people ringing the doorbell. And those that do lately are always related to the election. Mostly it's for Democratic candidates like Barton or Susan VanOrman but once Mark Johnson showed up. That was awkward. All I wanted to do was say "Save your breath, I'm a Democrat and I will never vote for you," but I was nice and cordial.

Although, when the Democratic volunteers come, I'm probably much more curt with them because it's more like, "You're preaching to the choir baby, I'm with you guys all the way." But they're usually happy about it and they check me off and go on their merry way.

Thank god Mallon was stumping for VanOrman because if he was going for a Republican, I don't know what I would have done. Certainly, I would have been more than disappointed that an old teacher of mine was an evil Republican...

As for the election tomorrow, I think I'm going to just try and ignore it as much as I can. That's only because I think if I see the results as they unfold, I will end up sobbing like a crazy person. The world is going to change tomorrow and it's not going to be good. *sigh* I just wish Democrats will end up showing up and loyal to the party of change because believe me, there is no way in hell the change Republicans are thinking of will end up benefiting normal, middle class Americans.

Oh a much lighter note, Nanowrimo is starting off well for me! I managed to get slightly over 3,500 words my first day (half of which was written before I went to bed) and I plan on being around 5,000 words by the time I go to bed tonight. I'm not quite sure what I'm writing of anymore so it might be a bit difficult but hopefully I'll figure it out as I go along because after this scene ends, I have absolutely NOTHING planned. *shrugs* I think I had an idea last night that seemed awesome at the time but I'm not sure what it is anymore... -_-;

That, and I plan on watching more Merlin and reading more Merlin Big Bang fic. They're surprisingly good -- even the ones I don't quite like all that much.

Right now I'm craving soda but the closest thing in the house is grass jelly drink, which if you know what grass jelly is like, isn't much like soda at all. Well, it's either that or water and right now I think I could use something sweet... :\

And this has me thinking -- should I go to Starbucks this week and spend a few dedicated hours writing? While nursing a nice vente soy caramel macchiato with toffeenut syrup? It actually sounds like fun and it'll get me away from my room to somewhere public where I would be less tempted to watch a TV show or read a slash fanfic... Right now, I have a hard time writing for over 10 minutes straight and even then I need the help of Write or Die. It's awesome by the way -- especially if you're like me and have a hard time concentrating on one thing at a time without some sort of impetus.

Okay, onto more writing and more fic!

I know! I would so go!

No one I know in Oregon is doing this and I wish I had been brave enough to have tried doing this while in college so I could have been in a big city during Nanowrimo for write-ins. Although, it never would have worked because November was always busy for me in terms of exams... Still, I wish I had still tried...

Actually, it was really rainy for the past week, but finally the storms have past and today is our first day of sunshine! It's actually quite nice out -- a rather idyllic fall day and it should last for a while.
