sherryillkYay! Got my NYU email address working again! Joys! Now I can re-enter the NYU network on Facebook (did I remove myself or did someone hack my account? I'm still unsure about that). I don't know why it bothered me so much that I wasn't listed as being in the NYU network but it did, and I was bothered a lot. I signed up under my NYU email address too! I don't know how it came to be that I started using my personal one but somehow it did...
Anyway, I hadn't used either my Facebook account or my NYU email address all that much the last few years (until FarmVille) so I was a bit unsure about what happened... Somehow, someone else used my NYU email address to make an account on Facebook. That's so wrong since I have complete access to my email account (I hope anyway). And it's like impossible to contact Facebook to fix this for me. I went and changed every single password of mine, from Facebook to all of my email accounts so hopefully whomever fucked me over can't get in again...
To be fair, I have no idea what happened. Only that someone else used my NYU email address to sign up to Facebook which is a bit insane to me because they would have to have had access to my email account in order to do that. :\
Anyway, thankfully, there is another email address for my NYU one that doesn't just involve my NetID and @nyu.edu that I could use to reenter the network. Hopefully I won't have to worry about any of this anymore because it was starting to suck.
On a different note, we're snowing! I am so gleefully happy about that! And it won't melt because we're going to be at below freezing temperatures for the next couple of days! I probably shouldn't be happy about this since it's such an inconvenience (I'm probably homebound for the next couple of days) but considering they were predicting 5 inches and we barely had a centimeter of snow at around 4 AM (when the winter advisory ran out) and weather.com predicting no more snow, I was really despairing over having snow this time around...
But it's here! I looked outside and it looks like we might actually get that inch of snow! Or more! And it makes me smile just thinking about it. It'll probably stop soon but who really cares? It's snow and it's going to stick around for a while! Yay snow! I'm going to peek at it again. ^^
