I was wrong...

Well, it wasn't Cry in the Sky as I thought it was. It's actually called "Crying Sky" and it's as good as the little clip in Rajipuri 64. Some how I missed 65... I'm going to get 66 sometime this week (hopefully I won't miss this one too). I had missed 63 too... :( I have so many holes in my Rajipuri collection... But I will get all of them, somehow, someday.
I'm slowly getting all the tracks on the album but I had left for an hour and somehow one of my downloads failed which made it unable to go to the other ones... But I'm working on it.
Right now I have five of the tracks (only about 20 more to go...).
The first track is called "Fight to the End" and it's an okay song. I can't say it strikes me as anything really amazing though. It's a nice upbeat song that would probably make a good OP for PoT since it nice strong vocals that reak of determination. I like the electric guitar in it that kinda goes through the entire song as a underlying backbone. At times MinaJun is a bit hard to listen to (some high notes) but it's still a pretty good song. I'm not going to put in on my Flavors but I don't hate it.
The next track is called "Loaded Soul." Based on the name I was expecting something that is a bit softer, more soulful. It does have a softer tone but only by a little bit. It's still a pretty upbeat song. MinaJun's voice is a lot easier to stomach. It's smoother and the song is generally okay. I like it a bit more than the first track but it still doesn't have that amazing feel that I look for when making my Flavors CDs.
The next song is "Another Story" and it starts off well, leading you into the song and once MinaJun starts singing, you feel as if you've heard this song before. It sounds a bit like a Kimeru song in the feel of the ups and downs of the song. Before long I found myself bobbing my head to it. I like it, I really do. It has a nice fast beat and the vocals remind me of Kimeru so that's always a plus. What song does it remind me of... OVERLAP! Definitely! Overlap is a bit more charged and a lot faster but it it has the same type of style.
The fourth track is "Life Goes On" and it starts off with I think Ryoma talking. But then the singing starts. It doesn't really sound like Ryoma. It doesn't really sound like MinaJun who sounds remarkably a lot like Ryoma. It's a bit of a mix. The bad thing about this song is that it's in English. And this is MinaJun we are talking about. As much as I like thinking about Ryoma speaking English (he is American born after all) but damnit, she's not that good at it! Points go to it for bieng in English, but it doesn't help the fact that makes me wince listening to it. It's mostly understandable, which is very good but they are moments where you have to strain a bit to understand the words.
Lastly, the fifth track is "Crying Sky." I've already mentioned it before so I'll keep it short. It's a soft, sad song that's kinda resonates. It's haunting really. And then the chorus starts and the pain comes thorugh so well. I feel sorry for the person in the song even though I don't know what has happened or who they are. I say that's a good song.
And in my typing this brief review, I downloaded another track. The sixth track is called "Futari" which I'm guessing means "Two People" or something like that. It's soft and slow, almost too slow. As I'm listening to it now, I can't help but want it to hurry up and get to the point. When I focus on her voice, I feel kinda floaty but at the same time I wonder if there will ever be a chorus. I'm sorry, but it's just too soft for me. I like upbeat and it's not a bad song but it's definitely not making any great impressions on me.
Well, I have to go. I've stacked up a lot of stuff for me to do today so, ja for now. I'll continue my review of the CD later.
Oh, and I got Taka-san's song. It's definitely great. I love it! It's makes me want to wave my arms and bob my head. I knew it would be pretty good from the preivew on rajipuri and it doesn't disappoint. It's just an altogether fun song. This is one of the better character singles that has come out lately. Definitely, this is a song people must get. :)
