sherryillkI kinda wish I had skipped this episode.
Whomever said this week would have Darren Criss, totally lied to me. I was pretty bored up to the first song, which incidentally is the second time I've ever heard that Bieber song. Which isn't all that bad when you take away that actual kid who originally sang it.
But as I sat there, waiting for Blaine to show up with Kurt and I slowly realized it ain't happening, I felt like this episode was rather pointless.
What is with the mouth jokes? And the thing with Rachel and Brittney? And the Sue storyline? Ugh. Boring.
But I will admit, the Take Me or Leave Me song translated a bit better with visuals than it did in the song previews. But I still think it was weaker than the original. That's almost a given but then again, I expected Lea Michelle to actually do a pretty good job with it considering her background. But I liked Amber Riley more in it. It was incredibly cute how they reconciled by the end. I like that Diva friendship, it would suck if Sue really did mess it up.
I will also agree with Sue -- none of the songs they had sung so far had been an "anthem" and the last choice was nice. The fact that it was MCR was a bit lost on me... I was never their biggest fan after all. But I don't particularly understand the choice of plaid/pajamas/lumberjack clothing though...
And I actually like the idea of Sam/Quinn. Ugh, Finn with Quinn just makes me hate both of them which makes me not want to see them together. And Sam with Santana seems boring since Santana has never been shown to be serious or faithful so being invested in that relationship is just an exercise of futility. And ugh, I still hate Finn, even when he's being nice. Why does he come off as a douche no matter what he does? :\
All in all, a forgetable episode.

But an episode that is many times more enjoyable? The Jeopardy IBM Challenge. I am both awed of Watson and very scared for the future. Why do I feel like I've seen the horrible end to this future in a movie before?
