Somehow I got into reading Thor/Loki fics.
It's so fucked up because they're so fucked up. And I know they aren't technically blood related, but they were still raised as brothers and that is the most important part for me, especially since with gay relationships, it's not like you can have offspring anyway, even if Loki turns out to be some sort of intersexed character anyway -- the mpreg Thor/Loki are another brand of fucked up but damn they were good. There's just something so fundamentally wrong and messed up about this pairing that I can't seem to stop reading, even if it is pseudo-incest. And those who know me, know incest is one of my major NO-No's when it comes to fic reading (that and any sort of RPS/RPF) so I'm always conflicted.
But damn, they're so well written and the stories are so damn good... I can't stop. I got into it a few days ago and so far, everything else has fallen to the wayside for more Thor/Loki fics. I didn't even watch Thor! I only know the basics of that relationship and that universe...
I seriously don't even understand it.
But it is nice being in a new fandom. I love the feeling a new sparkly fandom gives me, even if it's so wrong. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I like it so much. I wish it gave me more time to watch Knicks games and play FV (not to mention read new Kurt/Blaine fics) but whatever. At least it's something to do during the reruns of March Madness (my bracket is so incredibly fucked, I'm not even sure any of my final four besides Kentucky made it through so I lost interest pretty early) and the crazy long Glee hiatus. It's only two more weeks until a new episode of Glee! With lots of songs from Darren! I can't wait! And it's only 10 days until First Listen Friday where I will finally hear Darren's version of Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know. That's the thing I'm waiting for the most. I think it could be absolutely amazing. Or an absolute mess but I'm hoping for amazing, obviously.

on 2012-04-01 06:54 pm (UTC)From the Avengers' summary I got an impression that Loki will have a few other villains under his command, so there should be some diversity... But I wish he had a more ambivalent role in this movie, sort of a gray cardinal who may play on either side depending on what mood he is in today.
Canon-wise, I did want Danny and Rachel get back together, if only because it was obviously something Danny desired so strongly. But it does not interfere with slashing Steve/Danny in fanfiction for me. With all the bickering, married-couple jokes, Danny temporarily living at Steve's house etc, this seems like the slashiest American TV show I have encountered so far. And who am I to contradict the show writers? :) But even if I did not see the appeal of this pairing from the first episode, I would probably start shipping them anyway for the sake of long, well-written stories the H5-0 fandom is full of.
