sherryillkSomehow I manageed to miss the fact that Merlin premiered last week! OTL How was that even possible? I'm usually totally on that... What was I doing last Saturday? I imagine I was watching college football since my weekends are usually all about football...
Oregon didn't play this week... :( They play on Thursday so at least I have some mid-week football to look forward to. Today, I watched Oregon State destroy BYU. Sure, BYU isn't as great this year as they have in the past but Oregon State's QB was injured (I think so badly that he needs knee surgery) so I was worried. Mannion is really, really good. I was shocked to see how good he was... But they handled BYU and now they're still undefeated! I can't wait to see how high they'll be ranked tomorrow. They were 10 this week but surely they'll be higher now... I can't remember the last time Oregon State has been this highly ranked... This year's Civil War is going to be a bloodbath...
Unfortunately, the other team I'm rooting for UW is not doing all to well against USC. It feels like the LSU game all over again, only this time at home (or close enough since they're playing at CenturyLink). But they just scored! Now they're only down by 10... But it's already the 3rd quarter (6 mins left)... There's time but they need to get stops...
At. least UW is back in it (for now). I can enjoy this game while. devouring the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard I got during halftime. I adore pumpkin pie but when it comes to pumpkin spiced foods (very abundant this time of year), I'm not so enthused. I don't know why... Other people adore Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte but I really hate it. But I've been craving ice cream lately so I thought I might as well. It's pretty good. The "crust" pieces are more like crackers but it's probably better that way since they retain their crunch. Plus, I like the whipped cream and the cinnamon sprinkled on top is a nice touch. Not too stong but definitely there. I like it.
Okay, back to the game... Isn't it time to go for it on 4th down rather than a really long field goal? :/
