Fire Drill, fuck.

Are they fucking trying to kill us?! A fire drill at 9 PM on the eve of the Chem midterm?! I realize there are those who don't take Chem but a lot of us do so can't they pity us for just a bit?!
I mean it's fucking cold out there! It's cold when I come back from class in the middle of the afternoon! I mean 9 PM?!
I was in the middle of studying!!!
I feel soooooo sorry for Greg though... Poor guy... He was in the shower when the alarm started going off (really, fucking loud too) and since it was an unplanned (GOD DAMN THEM!!!!) and he had to run out with only a towel on... He was right behind me in the emergency fire staircase...and I was laughing my head off. Brilliant! (And he's gay, absolutely fucking for sure and pretty cute, god damn it all the good ones ARE taken.) Someone loaned him a sweatshirt but that's all he had on in the frigid NY night. Poor Greg... God, I love looking at him. Baby blue eyes, curly dirty blond hair...had hot gay sex three doors down. Ya gotta love NYU.
And then when we were let back in, it was only the people with NYU id who could get in first...and Greg forgot it. LOL!!! He was arguing with the security guard and the guard said no, he had to wait. LOL! But then one of the staff was like, No, he lives here, I'll vouch for him, let him in and he finally got in.
*laughs* That was almost worth it.
For a moment there, I was worried for all my stuff in my room. We heard sirens so I was thinking back to when I was going down the stairs and hearing these two girls talking to each other saying, "I hope our kitchen didn't set it off."
Also had it been a real alarm, it would have taken so much longer to get back in. We were down there for like 10 mins. Even so, I felt like I should have brought my book.
*sighs* Back to studying! It's 9:30 PM, I can study 'til about 2 AM (if I skip lab lect again). Gambatte!

on 2004-10-21 10:32 pm (UTC)What would have happened if people just ignored the alarm and waited for any additional signs of fire to appear or, in poor Greg's case, decided to pause before rushing out and to get dressed? Would there be disciplinary actions taken against them?
