So today I went to the AI Appreciation Dinner thing and Xiao was there and she had brought AJ...

Somehow we got on the topic of something and the name "Oregon" came up. AJ actually was the first to say it. But the problem was he pronounced it "Ore-GONE" (like Gone in the Wind) when it's really "Ore-gen" (gen like Genichiro or genki -- I tried to think of English words but I couldn't...).

I started saying that it was "Ore-gen" and he said it was "Ore-GONE" and we just had a little conversation about the correct pronunciation of Oregon. He said he would ask his friend who is from Oregon if they called the state "Ore-gen" like I said it was or like "Ore-GONE" as he thought it was.

And then he asked me where I was from.

Guess where I'm from?

I hail from the Beaver State, which, you probably guessed, is OREGON!!! And it's pronounced "Ore-gen" for your information. I am so annoyed at everyone calling Oregon, Ore-GONE. It's so stupid! Oregon is Oregon, not Oregone. Does it look like Oregone? If it was Oregone, it would have an "e" at the end.

And you know what I hate the most? It's when people argue that it is Oregone when I tell them it's "Ore-gen." Just because they've said it that way their entire life does not make it right. You'd think I would know seeing as I was born and raised in that state and have spent 18 years living there... Oregonians call Oregon, Oregon. Not Oregone. I mean, then we'd be like "Ore-gone-ians."

AJ did admit he was wrong after I said I was from Oregon.... Well, actually, he just sorta conceded, saying he lost that argument.

It's just so weird though... Like everyone I've met here says Oregon wrong... They actually learn it in school as "Ore-GONE"... Weird...

When I was a kid, I remember watching Lamb Chop and they mentioned Ore-GONE (the first time I heard it said that way) and I was like, what's that? Did they just mispronounce Oregon?

*yawns* I'm getting sleepy... I got through six episodes of the Legendary Four Aces... It's actually pretty good once it gets going and you don't question why things are happening anymore... I think the moment I really started paying attention was when the Bak Fu's uncle figured out that Bak Fu was his nephew... The whole training thing with Bak Fu's uncle is weird in that it doesn't make sense in the long run but it works and I like it... *shrugs* Now all I want is more of it...

I'm downloading the next batch but I'm at 143h 40min left, d/l at 5 KiB/sec and uploding at like 15 KiB/sec... :(

I was supposed to get my DVD today... Fly Me to Polaris, remember? I got all excited and I got the package. I quickly opened it and broke the seal on the DVD, fully intending on watching it. Then I looked down.

It was the wrong DVD.

It was the wrong DVD and I just opened it.

I emailed the person and he said it would take it back and send me my DVD. God, I was so looking forward to watching it! It's a HK movie that's about love and has lots of angst.... I heard it was a tear-jerker and I really wanted something beautifully sad...

The guy's so nice! He told me to send it back and he'll take it back unopened. And he'll refund the money I paid for it even though I opened it. I'm just amazed. Most people aren't so nice... And this was after I had told him that he didn't need to refund the money since I did break open the seal... He insisted on it! Kya! So nice!

But then again, the thing only cost me $7 with shipping and the cost of sending it back will be like $4 so technically, I only gain $3 back...

Okay, time for another episode of LFA (don't wanna keep typing it out) and then sleep.

Well, I just got back from sending my DVD back to where it came from so I could get the DVD that I was supposed to get...

As I was walking down to Staples to get a bubble mailer envelope, I thought about how the New Yorkers seemed to have developed jaywalking into an art. I'm just a transplantee who has only been here for a few months so I don't have it quite down yet...

It scares me... I come to a crosswalk and I stop if there's a red light and look at the incoming traffic. I see a car coming and I go eek and I stop and I watch the other people around me walk ahead.

Sometimes I'm brave and I come to a red light and I take a glance at the cars without stopping. I think there's enough time for me to cross and I take a hesitant step out. There's a small pause as I rethink it but then I feel determined and confident and plunge forward, hoping I wouldn't die from this action.

I'm still working on it... Jaywalking was never something I had to exercise in Hood River...

While I was walking back from the post office, I saw this balloon flying the air and it was rapidly dropping. I followed it with my eyes, wanting to see it fall as I have only see helium balloons float up and away but never down. This was my chance to see it fall.. The wind blew it left and it was still dropping but then it ascended. And it kept on ascending... I felt disappointed that I couldn't see it fall... :( Soon it had flew up and away so far that I couldn't see it any more and I decided to go inside my dorm at that point. I had spent too much time watching something stupid.

Oh... This is so sad!

I love Jing Ming. I hate to say it but he's seriously my favorite character after Bak Fu (I can't replace him since he's the main character and he's very cool but Jing Ming comes very close). Jing Ming is so uptight most of the time, he's so righteous and he's so indignant that he's just so funny. He's a stick in the mud but he's still a very cool character...

This episode was so sad! Poor Jing Ming! That damn Princess! :( She had good intentions but damn, was she also stupid.

Ah, I really want the song that was in the end of the this episode... It started out so great but it got cut off...

Actually, I've been trying to find mp3s for this show but I haven't been able to... There was that great site with a ton of TVB songs but it's disappeared... And I don't know the link for it... I really want the OP and the subs for this show...

And damn do I want more episodes of this... It's so addicting and I'm downloading so slow! :( I only have two more left! It's so sad! Providing there's seeds, I have 22 hours left until I get the next ten episodes... :(

Is it just me or is the girl who plays the Princess not a native Cantonese speaker? Like maybe raised in the US? She seems like she would be one of those TVB actresses who came to it from being Miss HK or a runner up... And there were a large influx of American Chinese girls in the Miss HK contents... The way she says the word "um" is very suspicious and the way she pronounces different words makes it seem like she's not from HK.

Fangirly glee, that's all there is to it. That's what it is; what other word can describe a fangirl's heart when she gets something extremely satisfying that it sends her into such a happy place?

I finally got around to watching episode 6 of Yakitate! Japan and the Meister finally made an appearance... (And on another unrelated but sorta kinda related note, is it just me or do Ken and Mokoyama have some sort of relationship? And can Mokoyama be more stereotypically gay?) It's been sooo long since I last heard Hayami Sho's voice... I almost forgot why I love it the most of all the seiyuus. I love Suwabe Junichi's voice and Okiayu Ryoutarou has a great one too not to mention Koyasu Takehito. All three of them can send my heart into fangirl heaven. But Hayami Sho is different. In my heart, he reigns surpreme as my number one love. God, I forgot how much I loved it until I heard it again...

I think it has something to do with Zetsuai and Bronze which I had loved so much... He was my Koji and my love. I love his voice so much... Ahhh...satisfaction. I need his voice right now...

And he was Muraki in YnM for all those who aren't familiar with Zetsuai/Bronze...

Oh, on the list of favorite seiyuus, Seki Tomokazu is there too but in a different way. If I had to layer it, Hayami Sho would stand at the absolute top. Next would be Okiayu Ryoutarou, Koyasu Takehito and Suwabe Junichi.

Actually, Koyasu Takehito would probably stand above the other two in that level... But they're all so close! Koyasu Takehito was also Izumi in Zetsuai/Bronze so... Well, yeah, I love Zetsuai/Bronze so much.

And then you have Seki Tomokazu and under him a long list of seiyuus that I just adore like Ishida Akira, Miki Shinichiro and Seki Toshihiko...

As for female seiyuus, I don't like any of them enough to put them on my list. :)

Who was the one who said, "I don't hate you" as a way to say "I love you"?

Was there someone like that?

I feel like there was... Like it was somone's complex in that they can't express their liking something?

Was it from manga? Anime? A TV show? Something American? A book? A fanfic?

Ah, that was random...

Ah, back to nothing at all. What should I do? I'm on my last episode of the first batch of LGA and it will be forever until I get the next batch (if I do) and when I do, I'd probably need to study for my exams. I should be studying now... Maybe I should that...

I wish itchy was one of the Mood options... I've been wanting to put that for many of these posts...
