Mmm... I'm eating a purple yam (sweet potato?) and it's delicious! So much so that I don't mind the fact that it's all empty carbs and starches... And it's keeping my hands warm like an organic hand warmer. Nice!

So, I spent my birthday working and fevorously writing. I actually got a lot done! It was flowing beautifully and it's made me realize I'm shit at romance and intrigue. OTL But at least I got a decent word count on my fic yesterday. Yay for that.

I didn't end my birthdays in tears or depressed -- too tired to do so but I did catch Prince Caspian on TV! Oh, how I adore that movie! Oh, how I adore Narnia! And it reminded me that Voyage of the Dawn Treader is going to come out soon and I absolutely cannot wait! I've seen the first two on the big screen and I intend on seeing this one as well. And then downloading the cam version and the DVD ones. Yummy!

Okay, I'm going to try and catch up on Farmville, probably watch something or read something and then work on my NaNo fic. And hope it doesn't snow massively tonight (though I am quite anxious to see a pre-Thanksgiving snowfall) but just enough so I can enjoy the wonder of it.

Listening to the Narnia OSTs makes me so incredibly happy. I'm instantly brought back the magic and beautiful imagery of the books of my childhood and the joy I had finally seeing come alive in front of me on the big screen.

This makes me so excited for Voyage of the Dawn Treader! It makes me sad that we won't get to see Peter and Susan in Narnia again in the movie but I want to go back! Maybe it's time to reread the story?

And I seriously hope they consider doing The Horse and His Boy eventually... I don't know why it's my favorite book but it's one that I keep going back to no matter what... After that, of course The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian. The Silver Chair was kinda depressing we won't even mention The Last Battle. I was pissed off reading it that Susan didn't get to enjoy Narnia and I know I'll be pissed off again. The only one left is the Magician's Nephew... Which I had read first so it was a bit of a put off since I didn't really care at the time... Later, I had started from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and it was magnificent so I continued on through Dawn Treader. Then I read The Horse and His Boy and it blew my mind as being the only one that featured the Pevensies in their golden era in Narnia -- as adults rather than children. I didn't realize how badly I had craved something like that until that point and it blew my mind. Going back to the Magician's Nephew made it so much more fun (especially since it was years later and I had forgotten most it so it still felt new) and made so much more sense. Of course, the fact that I was giving it shot rather than having it do all the work helps.

Then I read the Silver Chair and The Last Battle and even to this day, I try not to reread them.

I would like to see them all as movies though... But somehow I have a hard time seeing something like The Horse and His Boy selling out when it doesn't really feature the children... :\

Okay, I've procrastinated enough tonight. Must write something since I've written nothing...Oh, NaNo, I'm almost finished and yet it feels so far away... I'm not going to finish this fic this year and I have doubts it'll happen next year... And here I thought I was making so much progress too... :\
