So, a few days ago, I discovered a bruise on the outside of my thigh on my right leg. It was pretty high up and like most of my bruises, I had no idea how I got it. From the location, I figured I probably just bumped into something. But then yesterday, I found a second bruise on my other leg, also on the outside of the thigh and surprisingly enough, it's about the same height as my other bruise. And now I'm just confused. What am I running into? I know I bruise easily but still, two large bruises on both my legs within a few days of each other? It's getting a bit too much. I sleep on my side! I'm always sleeping on one leg or the other.

The horrible part about this entire thing is that I don't remember getting either bruise. Not the first nor the second. And they're not exactly small bruises or light so I must have hit something hard. Ugh, I hate not knowing how they happen. It's almost like they're popping up on their own... :\

Got my first free reward from Starbucks...

I know I said once they changed their rewards program that I would stop going there as often but then they ran several sale promotions and I can't resist a good deal, especially when it comes to Starbucks so I ended up going there some more and wouldn't you know it, I managed to get to 12 stars even after I reached my gold status.

So I went and got my usual soy toffee nut latte with caramel drizzle. The annoying part of it is that normally I got to a licensed store and licensed stores don't typically honor the rewards program so I had to go to the company store over by the Marina. And I've only been there twice before so I forget how freaking far away it is. I mean, geez, we're a small town and it's on the other side of town (I live on one end, it's on the other sort of thing) so it's like I drive and drive and I never get there.

But I went and I got my free reward and I didn't let it expire. Yay. It was delicious. Better than Starbucks generally is. Which is nice. It was slightly too sweet but thats okay. But I got myself a venti which is huge and I can never finish it while it's still hot or even warm and I realized something... When a soy latte is cold, you can really taste the soy. I've never had a soy latte taste so strongly of soy before outside of adding soy nectar to my morning coffee (it's actually really high quality soy nectar with organic non-GMO soybeans made local by a small tofu store in Portland) and while it's different, I can't say it's bad either. It's actually quite nice, as nice as cold coffee can be.

And now I've used up one of my free rewards. I also have a birthday reward set to expire at the end of the month. Driving out of my way for a free drink is something I'm not keen on doing again. But I know I have to. :\
